Paris Bass DC4 #0014
This first of likely many more to come of the Paris Bass lines of instruments! This was a fun project that allowed me play around with the possibilities of the Paris body platform as well as trying to apply guitar-like traits to an otherwise relatively standard bass. Guitar-like traits you ask? Well for one, the neck profiles are taken directly from my favourite guitar necks and applied to the P-Bass (ha no I shouldn’t ever say that again) neck. And the body is identical to the now-standard Paris offset bodies.
Reinforced with carbon fibre rods in the neck, and built from solid walnut, this is an instrument that is meant to be slammed hard, whether you’re blasting down-tuned metal or slapping some funky bass. The Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder P-J Bass set along with the volume/blend/tone control structure give a wide range of sonic versatility.
DC4 = Double cut, 4 strings
