Seoul S22T #0015

Introducing the KRVL Seoul, named after the vibrant and culturally rich city in South Korea. Let’s not beat around the bush, it’s a strat. There, I said. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t special in its own little ways! This one is made out of 2 pieces of basswood with a roasted maple neck topped with a slick ebony fretboard. The volume knob is nowhere near pinky destroying territory, and the output jack has been relocated to the side of the body for a somewhat small, but meaningful change to the design that the Seoul borrows from.

Gold. There’s a lot of gold. Everywhere. Tuners? Gold. Bridge? Gold. Pickup lugs and blades? Gold. Frets? Go… Okay phosphor bronze, but they look gold! With a nitrocellulose finish in the classic Gibson colour named “Olive Drab”, the gold accents really pop, yet blend in in such a way that it isn’t too loud, visually that is. With the custom set of Bare Knuckle Pickups, this thing is a metal machine in disguise, but cleans up brilliantly with a chime and warmth that should be illegal its so good.

You might not know it yet, but you want one. Heck, I want one. And I have one, but I want more. There are going to be a lot more builds of Seouls in the near future with interesting colour ways and specs.
